H264

|surveillance video|mpeg4 dvr cards|ILDVR|h264 ILDVR h264 (H.264), true recording rate in combined multiples of 30, 60
or 120fps up to 750fps per system is for high quality, high
compression, 100% hardware based PCI based video surveillance DVR card. There are 1-channel, 2-channel, and 4-channel cards, each video channel has a dedicated chip delivering 30 frames per second (fps) video + audio h264 hardware compression. You can install as many as 25 channels on a PC, 25 x30 fps = 750 fps DVR. Windows 2000 and XP based. Because of its hardware based compression, CPU usage is minimal, e.g. a 240fps system (using two 4 channel DVR cards) for 8 channels video and audio uses only 50% of a P3 800MHz CPU.

H264 is MPEG4 Part 10/AVC codec that provides high compression, high
quality video, best suited for surveillance application. It makes use
of block transfers and motion compensated predictive coding. When
compared with MPEG2 coding, MPEG4 ( H264 ) uses 1/3 of the bandwidth
(1/3 of storage space) to deliver the same quality video. When compared
with MPEG4(ASP), MPEG4 (H264) uses 3/5 of the bandwidth ( 3/5 of
storage space) to deliver the same quality video.

Download "H264 Player" for ILDVR: This player allows you to play the
individual recorded *.mp4 log files on client/server computers. There
should be two files, hikplaym4.dll (384KB) and player.exe (368KB). Put
these files under a folder in C drive and "click" onto the player.exe
file. You will see a "media player" look alike panel coming up. Select
the sample files you want to play with from below. You can scale the
video to any size you want, up to full screen. "Lip sync" audio comes
with these files.
